The swivel is the useful part. An oversized chair that turns lets one person face the television, then turn toward the room when there is conversation, then turn toward a window to read. A fixed chair makes that decision once, at delivery, and you live with it.
Oversized also means it is a chair and a half rather than a chair. One adult can sit sideways with their feet up in it, which is why it usually becomes the seat everyone fights over.
This is Thomasville, so look at how the arms and the cushion edges are built compared to anything at a chain store in this range. That construction is what you are getting at a liquidation price.
No power and no outlets. Measure the wall for the sofa and leave turning room around the chair — a swivel needs clearance on all sides.
