Powered pieces are wonderful until a motor fails, and then you are looking at a service call on a sofa. A well-built fabric modular has nothing to fail. You clean it, you rearrange it, and it keeps working.
Modular also means it survives your next move. Six separate pieces go through doorways and up stairs that a one-piece sectional cannot, and they rearrange to fit whatever shape the new living room is.
Ask us to read you the cleaning code on the tag before you buy. W, S or WS decides what you are allowed to put on it when something spills, and that is worth knowing on day one rather than on the day it happens.
